Pedro Halffter triumphs in Serville with The Magic Flute

Pedro Halffter has succeeded that all four performances of the Magic Flute of Mozart at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville are sold out. “It is Mozart’s most famous opera, but also the most complex,” says Pedro Halffter, “because it offers different interpretations which are all valid.” The premiere of the Magic Flute in Seville was a great success, not only because of his exquisite and transparent conductorship, but also by Pedro Halffter’s personal cast of young, vocally excellent Spanish singers.
